Speaking of accountability, does anyone have a clue what their new water rates will be?

Don't know the rates but hopefully those of you parked on water meters (and not using them) will not be able to afford them so I can get one for my lot and build a house!
A school board member told me it was going to cost the district $40,000 more a year. Think their trying to make a deal with the city.

It would be nice to see the details of this increase...for instance, since the city no longer leases from the school district at the Park Center, has that altered the way the city charges the school district for watering Rhinegarden Park?
In other words was this $40k increase soley due to the rate change or has the district's water bill icreased due to other factors in relation to the park and the baseball fields?

Water for the park and the baseball fields have been paid by, respectively, the city and the local baseball league for years. The school district's increase isn't related.

Sorry if I am not getting it......but if the city HAD been paying for the water for the ball field along with the local little league......have they now stopped and are passing that cost onto the school district since they own the fields?
If so, are they also increasing the water rate for the district amounting to an additional $40k?
It sounds like the school district will have basically had two increases over the last few years.
The city has for years and will continue to pay for water at the park. Water for the ball fields on the east end of town have been and will be paid for by the baseball assoc. The pool is the same way. The school district has not been responsible for those costs and won't be now. The additional water costs are just for school facilities.
