At the next Gorge Commission meeting there will be two opportunities
to make comments about the Broughton Landing Destination Resort
proposal to the Gorge Commission, at 9:10 and again around 10:45.
The Commission staff will be presenting their report on the proposed
Recreation Resort Plan Amendment. It should be interesting given the
public comments at the previous two workshops.
The more public comment on Broughton we can provide at every Gorge
Commission meeting the better - so please come out and share your
views if you are available next Tuesday, August 14, in Cascade Locks.

At the previous Broughton meeting, the organizers said that a transcript would be made of all discussion including citizen comments. Does anyone know how to obtain a copy. There were some excellent points made at that meeting, which should be reiterated at this next meeting, since the output of the prior meeting seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

The fact that this meeting was scheduled for a workday morning at a location 20+ miles from the location (and in a different state) seems to be an effort to exclude local citizens who work, and who live near the project.

I seriously doubt it is an effort to exclude citizens as much as it is an effort to include citizens.
This resort is about "The Gorge" not White Salmon or Bingen. We are all in this together and Cascade Locks should be considered just as Hood River, Stevenson, Carson etc...
I will however concur that the time of the meeting is not conducive to participation.
